Izzy works hundred hour weeks, wakes at dawn and sometimes before, has four different monitors aside from his laptop at work and at home each to keep everything neat and separated and so he can work from either place, subsists on five coffees a day - black with two extra shots at 7 am and 2 pm and with one cream the other three times, occasionally sleeps from his office’s pullout couch with the blanket he has stashed there to save himself a commute, and is probably single handedly responsible for keeping the bodega around the corner afloat with how much of their ready-made food he eats.

Israel Hands has been Lead Engineer for Blackbeard Tech for a decade. Everything in his life is neatly regimented until Stede fucking Bonnet and his team get foisted on them and Izzy's fired.
He...definitely knows what to do with all this time he suddenly has. Obviously, he's going to...pick up a hobby, or something. That's a thing people do, right? Pick up hobbies?
(Aka Stede accidentally smashes a questionably intact marriage and then glues it back together)

Summary
Post-episode 10, Stede brings his rescued crew to Spanish Jackie's, where he finds an unlikely ally in Izzy Hands. Together, they agree to find Ed, and end up growing closer than either imagined.
Stede reached out, as if to run his fingers over Izzy’s scar, but thought better of it and pulled his hand away. “You, me, and Ed all have the same scar,” he observed. “Funny, you gave me mine, I gave Ed his, and he gave you yours. It makes a circle, like Ouroboros eating his own tail.”
This is centered on Izzy/Stede, leading up to eventual Stede/Izzy/Ed.

“Are you kidding m–Edward!” Izzy's sudden shout was loud enough to make Stede’s ears ring, and he clasped his hands over his ears. “Do you mind if I fuck your fucking boyfriend?”
It took a long moment before Ed responded, but then his laughter rang through the air. “Nah mate, it’s all good, go for it.”
