Summary
It's been a tumultuous couple of years for Stede since the divorce. After moving 'across the ditch' to Australia to buy a rare books shop, he's had to learn how to navigate remote parenting and manage a small business while getting set up in an unfamiliar city. Now he's had the bright idea to go back to uni part time, to finally get that law degree his father had been convinced was a waste of time in his youth. It's a bit of a slog on top of everything else, but as the hard work pays off it's nice to feel like things are going right for the first time in a long while. Especially when he meets an absolutely fascinating guy at the coffee shop next door to work - one his classmate Lucius would definitely term a 'silver fox'.
Ed's been busting his ass in academia for two decades, and he's finally managed to take a full year's sabbatical to write another book and get away from the relentless cycle of new students and new complaints. Little does he know that a law student is still going to manage to be the biggest source of upheaval in his life.

Summary
Ed and Stede find out they’re not as alone on their new island as they might have thought. This turns out to be a very good thing, especially when it becomes clear that pirate life is not quite done with the pair of them.
A 'season three' style what-if.
Ed nudges Stede’s arm suddenly, and points south. It takes Stede a moment, but he stares in surprise when he spots what Ed has. The presence of the ruined shack itself, standing along a scuffed sandy trail, should probably have been a clue — but Stede still manages to be startled by the sight of a small cluster of buildings on the eastern side of the bay.
“Guess it’s not so deserted after all,” Ed says.
Stede frowns a little. “Is that… okay, do you think?”
Ed shrugs. “Sure? I mean, we might need to go check it out, see what the vibe is.”
“Oh, if there’s people around the island – that could be customers for the inn!” Stede beams.

Summary
Corypheus is gone, but it has not been without cost. Among the thousands lost was Garrett Hawke, Champion of Kirkwall - left behind in the Fade at Adamant.
In the midst of a mountain winter, a grieving Fenris collapses half-frozen at the gates of Skyhold; he is saved from death only by chance, when Commander Cullen spots him from the battlements. Fenris' skin is laced with the very substance that has nearly destroyed Cullen, his face belonging to a time best forgotten - his motive unclear.
What will his presence mean for the Inquisition, and for its Commander?
---
So I started off thinking, hey there's a lot of parallels between Fenris and Cullen. It's kind of a shame they didn't have more interaction in the games. I did not expect to have an entire novel's worth of story to tell! In many ways a big love letter to the incredible characters and lore featured across the series.
Technically post-canon/canon compliant, but pre-Trespasser.

Summary
Hans pulled the door close behind him and lingered under the shelter the small balcony offered, arms folded tight against the chill, his expression caught between suspicion and amusement.
“Has it happened? Have you finally lost your mind?”
Henry turned around, rain already dripping from his lashes, hair plastered to his face. Instead of answering, he bowed low and swept an arm out in invitation.
“May I have this dance, Sir Hans?”
Hans stared at him, rain beginning to speckle his shoulders.
“I thought we weren’t supposed to.”
Henry tilted his head. “Who’s going to see? The horses?”
Hans gave a soft snort but didn’t move.
“Afraid I’m the better dancer, my lord?”

And now Hans is being fucking haunted.

Summary
“How did you…”
Hans trails off as Henry rises to his feet, every movement taut as stretched leather. The birds screech in the trees; Henry turns his back to the fire, to Hans, and gazes across the overlook into the forest below. His gloved hands are in fists by his sides. Morning light glints faintly on the rusted rivets of his brigandine.
Here it comes, whispers a faint voice in the back of Hans’s head.
Henry tracks down a poacher in the woods. Unrelated: Lord Hans Capon is experiencing possibly the lowest moment of his life to date. One thing leads to another, someone takes a sword (?) wound in the thigh, and everything gets more complicated.
Set during the canon KCD 2 storyline; spoilers for the Bird of Prey quest.

Summary
“You know…” Hans swallows, then clenches his jaw. “…I won’t hate you if you don’t want to do this. We can just let that night be what it was.”
So, this is it.
The dreaded discussion has caught up to Henry, as he knew it would, but he had foolishly hoped for a little more time. A night of relative normalcy. He feels his heart plummet to his feet with enough force to burst through the floor. He knows the question he has to ask, but every part of him resists the command to ask it.
When he finally manages to choke it out, his voice is unsteady. “Is that what you want?”
Or: after the battle of Suchdol, Henry still isn't positive where Hans stands on their relationship, which makes him nervous. They have a conversation about it while Henry takes care of Hans’ wound.
