Midoriya Izuku has always been written off as weird. As if it's not bad enough to be the quirkless weakling, he has to be the weird quirkless weakling on top of it.
But truthfully, the "weird" part is the only part that's accurate. He's determined not to be a weakling, and in spite of what it says on paper, he's not actually quirkless. Even before meeting All-Might and taking on the power of One For All, Izuku isn't quirkless.
Not that anyone would believe it if he told them.

Summary

Owen heard it at the same moment Louis did, a growl pouring from him that was so cold and furious that it sent a shiver down Louis' spine, his body becoming tense as a cat about to leap.
"Transform," Louis commanded, and Owen turned his eyes from the treeline to him, looking shocked. His mouth was still pulled into a snarl, brows drawn together indignantly.
"What? No—"
Louis tightened his grip on Owen's hair, and put a thrum in his voice that he did not want to use. "Transform, now."

Yes, Bruce had given Dick permission to go in his place as a proxy, but really, it was his fault for assuming that Dick was going to attend as Nightwing. But then Jason found out, and then Tim joined in, then Steph, Cass and Damian, but hell, what else was he supposed to do? Leave them out of the most elaborate hoax in Robin history?
At first it was hilarious, one-upping the core members of the JL, but it’s been years and they’re all in too deep now.

Well,” he took a deep breath, “I, for one, have no fucking intention of being part of Batman’s emotional support family because the man didn’t manage to take care of himself properly!” He glared at Wayne, who winced slightly but still didn’t say anything.

After Batman dies due to an injury he received on patrol, Gotham is devastated. So, she decides to use some of her power to revive him. Not wanting to lose him a second time, she also analyzes what went wrong and comes to the conclusion that her Bat was lacking the support network most humans have, a so-called ‘family’. Luckily, this is solved easily: She’ll just revive some others in her domain as well, a caretaker and several young humans called ‘children’. They can be her Bat’s family and her Bat can happily continue to fight the rot that has spread through her borders. Perfect!OR OR

Tim Drake is stationed at Gotham University under the guise of “monitoring” him. He’s expecting horror. He finds… a surprisingly good syllabus, a strange sense of calm, and a friend group that doesn’t know what a vigilante is.
Crane, for his part, knows exactly who Tim is. He doesn’t care, he just wants to teach. And maybe terrify a few freshmen along the way.

No one knows who hired Professor Crane, but panic attacks come with bonus points and Tim's never been happier.

There are loud moans and gross squelching noises as Jerk frantically tries to shut it off. “Is that porn?” Steph whispers with delighted scandal. The class erupts into laughter as their teacher turns beet red with either rage or secondhand mortification. Maybe both.
Tim pulls back and looks away from her wide grin, but his lips seem to twitch a little in amusement and pink dusts his skin in the face of her admiration. “Simple,” he says with a mischievous slant to his eyebrows. “He already had it open incognito.”]

“Kid,” Jason interrupted. “Enough statistics. What the hell is this about?”
Robin slowly lowered the tablet with his powerpoint presentation and looked up at Red Hood.
“You care about Gotham,” Robin summarised. “Gotham needs Batman. Batman is missing and so is Nightwing. We need you to fill in for Batman.”
“You want me to cover Batman’s patrols?” Jason clarified.
“No,” Robin said. “I want you to be Batman.”
Jason bluescreened.
(Or: Batman and Nightwing mysteriously disappear before Red Hood has even started antagonising them, Robin is desperate, Gotham needs Batman, and Red Hood is Batman-Shaped.)
