“I made a list!” Nick announced, marching into Fuzzby’s office first thing Monday morning and slapping it onto her desk.
Fuzzby looked down, brow raised. “Reasons why I don’t love Judy Hopps?” She scanned the list. “Number fifteen is her eyes?”
“They’re terrible!” he declared. “They keep me up at night with how awful they are!”
“Uh huh.” She scanned back up. “Number two, you wrote; ambition.”
“Don’t get me started. She’s too passionate!”
Fuzzby flipped through the list again from number one (kindness) all the way down to number forty-seven (her soft ears). She looked up at Nick, unimpressed. “You do realize that this does the opposite of proving your point, right?”
Or: Nick pines over his best friend, accidentally writes love letters, and gets read to absolute filth by his therapist.

“Hey, Munson?”
Eddie turned and Steve was there, in his space, leaning forward until Eddie was pressed back into the kitchen island.
He could smell Steve’s cologne, could see the moles and freckles across his face, could taste the air around him, like honey and butter and frosting. And then Steve reached out and pressed his fingers to Eddie’s chest, drawing back just as quickly, leaving Eddie’s skin warm and tingling.
He’d also left something else on Eddie’s shirt.
He barely registered what had happened until he was sitting back down, and Dustin's eyes were on him along with the rest of the kids.
"No fair!" Dustin pointed, scowling at Eddie's shirt. "How come you got that one!"
"Uh," said Eddie and looked down.
I Did an Amooooozing Job Today! said a cow in a cowboy hat.
or: Eddie Munson was doing his best to push down his absolutely tragic crush on Steve Harrington. He'd been doing a pretty good job of it, too.
And then Steve brought out the goddamn stickers.

“Alright,” Eddie says eventually, “Wheeler, your turn. Truth or dare.”
“Truth,” she says, calm as ever.
“Boring,” he drags out, though his eyes narrow just slightly, like he’s already making something up. “Fine, then. Let’s make this interesting, shall we?”
Eddie gets that wicked, mischievous look whenever he’s about to say something unhinged, something he knows he shouldn’t.
And then he moves his gaze past Robin, across Jonathan, until it finally lands on Steve. He grins.
“Okay, Nance,” Eddie says, leaning forward to rest his elbows on his knees. “Confirm or deny something for me real quick.”
Eddie waves a hand in Steve’s direction and smiles sweetly. “You know, there’s been talk. Rumors. Legend. Whispers in the wind. Is Harrington’s oh so famous reputation real —“
Then just little more pointed:
“— or is it all just high school gossip?”or, steve finds out he has a crush on his best friend after a game of truth or dare
