It didn't matter if the emptiness made his arms ache, if the smell of soap and milk lingered on his collar, or if the phantom feel of tiny fingers wrapped around his pinky made his hand twitch. None of it mattered because he knew.
He knew he made the right choice.

“Anything happen to it recently?” Tommys’ eyes are dutifully glued to the thing as he unscrews its side panel, making sure to pocket each screw.
“Not anything big? Er, we did move recently…” The man almost sounds sheepish, and Tommy's gaze flicks upwards, urging him to continue. “And while moving it, it slipped from her hands once.” Thing about PC's, is that they fall apart like Legos too.
Tommy can’t help but wince. Dropping it: literally just the thing he was hoping didn’t happen. The man must see it, because he’s quickly going to try and make it seem better than it is.
“—But it wasn't from very high! The outside wasn’t even dented. It was only from around a foot or two.”
That absolutely did not help his case.
Or; Tommy, who might be the least enthusiastic candidate to be one, is unequivocally declared a vigilante by the news. Fuck him for giving a shit, he guesses. He doesn’t understand why they couldn’t have just given him the title of temporary firefighter. No, they had to jump straight to vigilante.

Sherlock Holmes was believed by most to have died by jumping to his death. A few people, Mycroft Holmes included believed he died in somewhere in Serbia, tortured to death, though his body was never found. Sherlock Holmes himself doesn't believe either of the above, obviously.
After being extensively tortured in Serbia, he suffered a traumatic brain injury that left him with amnesia, and deafness. But the doctors say that the deafness is psychological in nature. It doesn't matter much to him. All he knows is that his name is William, and that he was once (and it seems he always will be) in love with a man by the name of John Watson.
John has suffered much in the last eight years. Losing his best friend to suicide, marrying and then later being divorced by his wife, battling for joint custody of his child, and generally trying to forge ahead and figure out what the seemingly bleak future holds in store for him. But what he could never expect is Sherlock's sudden return. Nor the man's conviction that once upon a time they were madly in love.
Edit11/26/25 I need to reread this whole work, but rest assured that this is not abandoned. If I had to guess, it will be about a month or two.

And somehow with his limited luck, someone much stronger then him emerged from the flames. And maybe dressing up like a magical girl was embarrassing but Lethe was much stronger, faster and was much more powerful.
In every single way you put it Ranboo was Lethe, a magical girl.
Things change when villains with no clear objective and a talent for knowing exactly how he operates show up to break everything he’s built down. So now Ranboo and his team, Rover and Mellohi, have to push past there barriers to save the day.
Or; Between hiding the fact he’s a vigilante from his new foster family, the Craft’s and discovering a secret magical organization with his friends Mellohi and Rover, Ranboo’s just another street kid. Well, one who turns into a magic fuelled vigilante to fight crime by chanting out magical words… But teen nonetheless!
It gets less embarrassing the more he does it, definitely…

This was literally the worst possible outcome that could’ve come from his and his foster mothers’ argument. Like, he expected maybe a scolding when he got back, or at worst the police called on him for running away, but no. Honest to god aliens.Or,
Humans are a young race, and Tommy, a particularly volatile human, is plucked from his home and forced to survive in a foreign land. It certainly doesn't help with the fact that the whole of galactic society is under the impression humans lack the ability for complex thought.

Summary
The stranger was tall, was the first thing he noticed. Tubbo had to crane his neck up to look at their face at such a close range. Although, he realized quickly, it may be best to keep his eyes downward instead. They were an enderman, clearly: long legs, alien proportions, chitinous armor that’s rough and black instead of softer skin. Purple particles floated in the air around them. It was the same type of build he’d come to recognize in Ranboo.
It was also, very clearly, not Ranboo at all. Or at least...not the one he knew.
