Tommy’s eyes lit up. “Really?!” he asked excitedly.
Wilbur nodded. “Yeah. Remember when Tubbo said something about playing superheroes? Something like that.”After the unfortunate end of the DreamSMP the gang decides to play another game. This time they will be hybrids with superpowers. Of course, this game doesn't go as smoothly as expected either.

Technoblade, the god of destruction, and Dream, the god of strategy. Due to the timing of their ascensions and the natures of their domains, both are known as the gods of war.
Among the mortals they are seen as enemies, spending eternity fighting for a war that ended centuries ago. Among the gods, however, they are seen more as rivals, constantly challenging each other to more and more ridiculous challenges to prove who's best. They're less of a pair of intimidating war gods, and more of an annoyance or source of entertainment in the eyes of the other gods.

"In…In time?" Tubbo questions.
"Tommy…he uh, he had some sort of attack." Dream stutters. "Ponk and-and Sam came through right when his pulse stopped. Ponk tried…tried CPR but…it didn't help. He's gone. Tommy died."
Tubbo felt his breath get caught in his throat as he looked up at Dream. "Wh-What?" He asks softly. "D-Did you search his respawn? He still has a life left. Maybe he just-"
"He wasn't there." Dream interrupted. "An-And when I checked my admin controls…it said his lives were at zero."
Tubbo feels as if his world was coming crashing down around him. He couldn't breathe, his heart was hammering in his chest and his head throbbed.

Tommy has never been the most... lucky person. Getting abducted and tortured on an alien spaceship probably reinforces this quite a bit. And sure, that's not normal by any means... but in the end he did gain a family out of it. Which is pog.
However... life can't be so simple, things just had to go wrong.

Tommy was not going here. There was no way. He would starve himself before he spent a day there. It was vile, designed to make sure you stay alive while crushing your hope of escaping, through either the literal sense of freedom, or death.
He had— he had done so much. Tommy was exhausted. Exhausted from the fighting, from the mourning, from the separation. He might never see Tubbo again, so what was the harm in just… leaving? He had no one else to live for.
Tommy’s breath started to quicken, and it didn’t help that the arm around him tightened. He could start to see spots in his vision—hold it in for eight—he was going to suffocate.
Tommy passed out.

Tommy is made of ash and fire. He is made of wind and rain, the soil on the Earth. Tommy is made of lightning and thunder, the foam that swirls in the sea, the sea itself. He is made of ice and lava and destruction. Tommy is made of everything and nothing. Because Tommy is magic. Tommy is what holds the worlds together and can break it apart. Tommy is what sewn the seams of the universe together delicately and keeps it in place.
And yet...
It never feels like it.-
Or, Tommy is blessed (cursed?) by the Universe in ways no one can understand. This is how he discovers that, and this is how he copes. With a ton of angst. And found family cause we all know I'm a sucker for it.

ORTommy raises his head and face ahead of him, but Dream was out of sight. He quickly turns his head around as he looks for his opponent’s location. Without realizing it, a cold blade thrusts through his stomach from behind him.
Tears begin to flow from his eyes as he stares into the dull blue sky and feels nothing but the numbing pain on his stomach and the rust iron taste lingering in his mouth.
“Everyone who cared about you will forget who you are and they won’t even remember that you exist. Only those who are neutral and who bare hatred towards you will be the left in this multiverse to remember you. Of course, your alternate selves aren’t affected, though. Only you.” Dream cackles as he raises both arms in mid-air, as if to carry the setting sun on his shoulders from behind him.
Tommy grabs his blonde hair with both hands to try and ground him as painful memories began to flood his mind all at once. He doesn’t want to go back to that terrible life again. He’d rather die than try to survive that hellscape over and over.
SBI AU where the cliche "it's not about the destination but the journey and friends you made along the way" actually matters.
