Summary

They get paired up together for a project in their college English class and when Karkat accidently learns that Dave is fighting to keep custody of his younger brother Dirk, he learns that he may have been completely wrong about Dave and shouldn't have judged a book by it's cover. A story of two damaged boys coming to each others rescue and growing as people. <3

Summary

Summary
Karkat finds himself waking up alone in bed. Dave isn’t there beside him, and he doesn’t have to wake him up like most mornings. He thinks that most days it would have left him unnerved, with a tight feeling in his chest, but he’s quick to remember it’s his wriggling day. It’s… not exactly his favorite day, but he’s learned not to bitch so much.
He used to truly resent his wriggling day. Despised it. Dreaded it each time it rolled around. A day to celebrate his hatching–something that should have never happened. What was the point in celebrating a person who should have never been allowed to live? It was a rather worthless day to celebrate. That’s what Karkat thought, at least. Still did, actually.
