Summary
For a few seconds, he sees it disappear from his peripheral vision. He sighs, and starts to slow down.
Then, something breaks the water in front of his boat. It lifts off a couple of meters from the surface, tail long, bare human torso twisting in efffort before it dives back down. Water splashes in Simon’s face. His boat comes to a still. He can still see the round impact of the landing
That is… definitely a mermaid.

Simon is a fisherman living in a small town nestled inside of a cove known for its red beach and water. The day a strange duo composed of an even stranger doctor and his accented friend arrive into town, Simon makes a strange encounter.

Summary
“What’s up, Simon? How’d you enjoy last night? Did you like the barbecue?” Colt says, using his grip on Simon’s shoulder to make him spin on his stool so they are face-to-face. Colt smiles widely.
- Simon grabs hold of his shirt and pushes him back against the wall, crashing their mouths together. His hand sinks into his blonde hair, pulling him closer.-
“Yeah, it was nice,” he confirms, clearing his throat. He straightens on his stool, fidgeting with the frayed edge of his apron.
“Yeah? What about my brother? How did you get along with him?” Colt asks. “I know he’s a bit,” he gestures in the air with his hand, “you know? But he’s a really nice guy when you get to know him.”
-Ryland is pliant beneath him, panting hard into Simon’s mouth as they move together. His skin is so hot against Simon’s that it burns. A moan rips out of his throat as he comes deep into Simon, squeezing his ass hard, keeping him in place as Ryland grinds up into him. There’s gonna be fingerprints on his ass tomorrow, for sure.-
“Yeah, yeah, he’s nice,” Simon replies, looking down at Colt’s shoes.

“Your brother represented a significant investment, and we’d like you to take over his contract. Your genome being identical, you could step into his shoes. Literally.”
They hand him a clipboard with a pen. In big bold letters at the top he reads “Avatar Programm”.
“He’s dead,” Colt dumbly repeats.
He wasn’t even aware Ryland had left this planet.
“How did he die?”“You don’t need to concern yourself over the gritty details. The grief must be horrible enough,” one of the agents says, not a single muscle of his big fat face moving to emulate empathy. He looks down at Colt’s wheelchair.
“We’re offering you a fresh start. To do something that matters,” the other insists. He taps the bottom of the paper, on the line dedicated to Colt’s signature. “And the pay. It’s generous, very generous.”
Colt’s accident replays in his head, tuning out all other sounds. He lives alone in the tiniest apartment that his settlement is able to cover. He doesn’t even have a dog.
He grabs the pen.

Summary
Jaskier is on his way to the Bardic Festival in Vizima by himself.
Geralt has been acting strangely since the events that occurred in Rinde and he's become distant. Despite the other Witchers' reassurances that his moodiness is fairly normal, Jaskier isn't quite convinced. On top of his worries, Jaskier is once again confronted by Valdo Marx and he comes to learn what viscous rivalry really means. An attempt to remove him from the competition turns into life threatening danger as he comes face to face with the Striga everyone seems to know about but doesn't openly discuss. Where is his Witcher when he really needs him? And will he be able to tell him how he feels when he shows up?
