I read the Witcher books, and Geralt is a sensitive boi about the whole mutant thing. Multiple times he mutters to himself about how THoSe PeoPLE don't think he has FeElings.
So I just really think he'd be charmed as hell by Netflix Jaskier. It would be big 'I've had him for a day and a half and if anything happened to him I'd kill everyone in this tavern and then myself' energy.
So I imagined what would happen if Book Geralt met Netflix Jaskier that day at that tavern in Posada. (Spoiler he loves him.)

Geralt of Rivia never asked to be a king. Geralt is no fool. He knows friends don’t sleep this close. He is well aware of the distance that is usually kept when sharing a night fire. Instead of leaning into each other on cold nights, friends might instead offer their cloak or their gloves. Instead of a guiding hand along the back, or a touch to get attention, one can point, or even use words.
Geralt has done all of this of course, it’s not as if he always traveled alone.
Truthfully, though, he doesn’t mind pretending.or; Panda gets ideas and instead of sleep, they need to cuddle

Resuming friendship with Geralt after the dragon hunt is both easier and harder than Jaskier thought it would be. He's fallen for Yennefer in the meantime, is the problem, as well as never having dropped his torch for Geralt in the first place.
Now Geralt can't stop falling asleep mid-conversation, and Yennefer is nowhere to be found.

They were designed and brewed with the same ruthless practicality as everything else in their lives. Doesn’t have to be pleasant, doesn’t have to be comfortable, just needs to do what it needs to do and (preferably) not kill you in the process.
Didn’t do much good for your reputation either, to ask for the money you’re owed, covered in gore and your eyes too bright, your pupils dilated into the wrong shape.

Jaskier was part fae. A quarter to be precise.
There was an old superstition among humans that names held power, but for fae it was so much more than that. Names meant control. If you knew a fae’s name, their true name, they would be completely at your will. If someone knew your true name you were nothing more than their servant. A slave. All it took was a single command.
When war breaks out between neighboring kingdoms, Jaskier's father uses his true name and commands him to marry a witcher as part of a peace treaty. Neither Jaskier or Geralt are particularly happy with the arrangement. But as Jaskier gets to know him better he realizes that the witcher might just be able to give him the thing he's always craved. Freedom.
