Geralt narrows his eyes, hums, says, “Fine with just the coin.”
“I promise you would not be disappointed. You’d have all the amenities. A bath, food, lodgings for the evening. And of course the company of whichever individual you might desire.”
Geralt almost says no. It would be so much effort, to go to the brothel, to have someone picked out for him, to do the song and dance of what everyone always expects from him. But the free food and bath is enticing, and he’d be a fucking idiot to turn down a free fuck. “Sure,” he mutters. “So long as it’s free.”

It happens roughly a year after Jaskier met Eskel, since he stumbled across the Witcher in a run-down tavern in a little no-name village somewhere in Temeria. Jaskier had seen the man sitting in the corner, half hidden in the shadows despite his size, had seen the twin swords and the amber eyes that watched him all through his performance, and he really hadn't had much of a choice except to attach himself to the man like an exceedingly friendly barnacle.

Summary
Geralt can honestly say that he is happy with his life. He hasn't had the best childhood and neither did his time in the military do him any good. There was that hot but also horrible relationship with Yennefer. But now, he is happy. He loves his job at the hospital, he loves his adoptive daughter, he loves his brothers who live in the same city.
Which is why he doesn't need anything to change. He's not looking for a relationship, there has been enough heartbreak in the past, thank you very much.
If only it weren't for the new doctor with his crazy blue eyes and his flirty smiles who keeps making him want things he hasn't wanted in years. Or maybe he has been wanting them all the time, actually. But this new guy has a reputation. And as established, Geralt isn't interested in letting himself be hurt again.
