It earns him an eye roll from Peter and Sirius slaps him in the back of his head.
“Jamie, I love you. But that’s the stupidest thing I’ve heard. Where would we even get a wild boar from?”
“How about we go chat him up and get his number and make posters with it to make creeps send him nudes?”- supplies Peter, which doesn’t sound as stupid as James’ idea.
“Gentlemen, please. I hear you, but it is my brother’s honor we are defending here and his innocent and inexperienced heart. So I call for good old vengeance, an eye for an eye, a broken heart for a broken heart. We must woo this man, get him to fall in love and then when he least expects it…”- he slams his fist on the table startling his companions. “BAM we break his heart. We could even snap a pic of him crying pathetically.”
Sirius Black wants to get revenge on the man who broke his brother's heart, unfortunately for Remus, he thinks it was him.

Sirius asks, before he can stop the words from slipping out. He instantly feels guilty, he can't believe he's questioning God. Worshipping false idols is a mortal sin. But still, he's here, wondering if Remus's God is the right one.
Maybe it's sacrilege, but he would pray to any God that would save him from his parents.

Sirius tried to look around and found nothing- more nothing than he’d ever known was possible- endless expanses as far as the eye could see. Perhaps he was asleep, he mused, finding it unexpectedly difficult to worry. He was sure he should be worrying more- this definitely wasn’t normal.

Hi, so this is a fic based after the events of atyd and atyd Sirius' perspective. It's almost entirely atyd canon complaint, excluding a few one-shots, which will make sense given the story. It's also- technically- canon-complaint (except the epilogue because i hate that and a scene from deathly hallows- again, it'll make sense) if you take canon with a pinch of salt.

His best friend James is married and a Dad to five year old Harry and planning on baby number two with his wife. Their other friend Remus is a working Dad to a three year old Teddy and very recently divorced and then there’s Peter who is expecting twins. He couldn’t think of anything worse than snotty, whinging children..most of their school friends have children but Sirius can’t see them in his future, doesn’t see his bachelor life slowing down until one day, a terrified four year old is left on his doorstep.
