Summary
Remus shouts at him again to just go, but Sirius drops to his knees by his side. He suddenly remembers the family he had seen on the streets back when he was nine years old, stuck in his room at Grimmauld Place, kissing and hugging each other. He remembers the warmth that spread through him, how he had wished the pain caused by his mother would be a sweet caress, a kiss on the cheek instead.
Sirius knows it’s not enough. He knows one kiss won’t fix the pain Remus is in, he knows not even a thousand would. But he presses his lips against Remus’s forehead, and when Remus’s wheezing slows, time slows as well. The only sound in the entire house is Remus’s quiet but uneven breathing.

This is a very pro-LGBT+ series, there will be a lot of queer characters once they're older (though we do start getting that in this book!).
