“ Merlin I’m not sure how you fell in love with him” Regulus snorted watching Sirius curse at his computer blasphemous because it wouldn’t turn on and aggressively plug it in over and over unaware that the plug to the outlet wasn’t plugged.
“ I must have fallen in love with the wrong brother’ he said sarcastically as a joke as for the first time Regulus joined in laughing alongside him.
“ The wrong brother indeed, I can attest my cocks much larger” Regulus snorted back sounding just like a younger brother.
“ How someone like you fell in love with James and has a chance with him makes my mind hurt,” he said waiting for a snotty response.“I bet many things make your mind hurt Remus” Regulus said as he got the response he was waiting for. he took a treacherous breath as he tried to imagine this working out seamlessly. And by the end of the ten minutes he thought about it he realized that was impossible.

But what happened to the passengers? Over 200 people were on board. Their families grieved, but no one ever found a crash site.
After a while, it was written off as a hijacked flight, although there was no evidence of that.
What the people didn't know was that Flight 703 did in fact go down. But, the people who survived the crash now had to survive the island.

James Potter loved Lily Evans from the moment he knew what it truly was to love anybody. But, in the end, it didn’t matter that James had declared that he would never love anyone else but Lily. Because he still lost her.
One year on from Halloween 1981, James is struggling to raise Harry alone whilst drowning in an impenetrable dark sea of grief, determined to never love again. Because, in his experience, to love, is to lose.
Luckily, Regulus Black knows quite a lot about loving and losing. And drowning, too, considering the fact that he survived the cave in 1979 and faked his death for two years, popping in to give Sirius the fright of his life on Halloween.
And, consequently, showing up just in time for the events that followed. The shattered remnants of people that the war left behind.
Maybe Regulus will be able to show James that it’s okay to extinguish the first love flame, whilst simultaneously giving him the parenting help he is too ashamed to ask for. And, in return, maybe James will manage to convince Regulus that love isn’t something you earn, something that always has a catch.
Maybe they just needed one another all along, to take that step into the daylight.
