Shane never thought it would come to this.
What once was a warm, fuzzy feeling of love in his chest, now was a mellowed, sharp frost encompassing his heart. He didn’t mean for it to go this far, to get this bad, but some things are destined to happen and some things are inescapable.

He needs to bin the tissues and pack away the pictures and stationary into boxes where they will join the lines of cardboard in the moving van outside. But right now, all Shane can do is stare at the words “DIVORCE AGREEMENT” written in a harsh, bold, bland font. He never thought he would have such a document in his hands.
