That same night, on the eve of Aegon ii Targaryen's second name day, the gods unveiled the curtain of the future through dreams to Visery and Rhaenyra. Visery, who had always tried to avoid conflict and was already married to Alicent, made what he considered the wisest choice. He disinherited Rhaenyra and made Aegon his heir. Rhaenyra, who had seen her future as nothing more than a chain of tragedies, accepted her father's decision.
Unable to bear being in the red keep and pretending to be a happy family with people who usurped her, Rhaenyra chose to live in the Vale, with her late mother's family. But it seems that Visery's decision to disinherit Rhaenyra and Rhaenyra's decision to live in the Vale also changed the future of the Targaryen family. Because ever since Rhaenyra stepped her foot out of the red keep with the resolution to never return, the dragon eggs, both the new ones and the ones in the dragon pit all turns cold, and the dragons weakened.

The Creed of Baelon the Brave (5/5) - Rhaenyra is vexed and jaded in King's Landing after another resounding defeat at Alicent's hands. The princess had her hands tucked behind the small of her back, having what appeared to be a staring match with the weeping face of the heart tree. Compared to its cousin which resided in the Red Keep, Daemon always thought the expression on Harrenhal’s heart tree more twisted, as if in sharper agony. Perhaps with the ghosts of House Hoare, still burning from the Black Dread’s flames.
On any other day, he would not have hesitated to immediately approach her, perhaps even sneak up from behind and wrap his arms around her in an embrace. But she had been behaving oddly these past few days, avoiding him even.
His steps were hesitant as he approached her, allowing the lifeless grass and leaves to crunch noisily beneath his boots until Rhaenyra finally turned to acknowledge him, purple eyes unreadable in the gloom that always seemed to hang over the molten fortress.
“Daemon,” she greeted.
“Wife.”
