Summary
That same night, on the eve of Aegon ii Targaryen's second name day, the gods unveiled the curtain of the future through dreams to Visery and Rhaenyra. Visery, who had always tried to avoid conflict and was already married to Alicent, made what he considered the wisest choice. He disinherited Rhaenyra and made Aegon his heir. Rhaenyra, who had seen her future as nothing more than a chain of tragedies, accepted her father's decision.
Unable to bear being in the red keep and pretending to be a happy family with people who usurped her, Rhaenyra chose to live in the Vale, with her late mother's family. But it seems that Visery's decision to disinherit Rhaenyra and Rhaenyra's decision to live in the Vale also changed the future of the Targaryen family. Because ever since Rhaenyra stepped her foot out of the red keep with the resolution to never return, the dragon eggs, both the new ones and the ones in the dragon pit all turns cold, and the dragons weakened.

Summary:
So much could have been solved and so many could have been spared if a universe with dragons, magic, wargs and White Walkers had artificial insemination—and if the characters tried to be anything else but a dysfunctional family.Works:
Viable Alternayives (2/2) - Distraught at the thought of her son being childless and miserable, Princess Rhaenys tracks down ways for her son and his bride to have children that'll make them both happy. Or, I fucking refuse to believe a universe that has dragons and White Walkers some way, somehow doesn't have artificial insemination.
The Creed of Baelon the Brave (5/5) - Rhaenyra is vexed and jaded in King's Landing after another resounding defeat at Alicent's hands. She seeks Rhaenys' counsel and receives a necessary, eye-opening and well-deserved reality check: she is losing the Game of Thrones. Badly. But not all is lost. Or, Rhaenys tells Rhaenyra to pull her head out of her ass and start playing the Game of Thrones by her rules or she will continue to be outmaneuvered, outsmarted and outclassed to the detriment of them all.
A Legion of Dragons (43/?) - Rhaenyra should’ve known that Alicent and her precious Greens wouldn’t take this lying down. Alicent’s sons are fostering with Rhaenyra on Dragonstone and that terrifies the queen consort. As they are both privy to one simple truth: Aemond and Aegon’s shifting loyalties are the key to turning the tides. Or, in which Rhaenyra doesn't alienate her own family, she consolidates it. She recognizes that she will sooner lose this war of succession if she doesn't take initiative to solidify a coalition of supporters but more crucially a legion of her own kin—a legion of dragons—before Alicent and her green ilk can establish their footing. -
