Gunther had never really gotten over the disastrous fling that was his graduate advisor. When he gets a letter requesting him to uproot his life and move out to Stardew Valley, he isn't exactly sure what he's expecting, but it sure as shit isn't what he finds.
Tracking down a flighty professor, fixing what broke all those years ago, and trying to keep a library running for the four people who use it is no small task, but hey, Gunther doesn't see anyone else taking the job.

Marlon was just as beautiful as he had been back then, absolutely captivating. Gil couldn't bear to take his eyes off of him, as if Marlon would fade away if Gil wasn't looking.
Or: what if Marlon hadn't stayed in Pelican Town with Gil? Alternate Timeline to Never Love An Anchor/Safe Ship, Harbored. Some details might not make sense without knowledge of those fics, but I think it still works without it.
Can you tell me, was it worth it? Baby I don't wanna know.

She didn’t want to make Dr. Harvey feel self-important, just because she’d chosen him to confide in about The Thing. Telling him was sort of her last resort; he was a medical doctor, after all, and she wouldn’t be caught dead talking to him otherwise. He wore a green corduroy jacket recreationally, for Yoba’s sake. Who dressed like that?
Haley thinks she’s dying. (Spoiler alert: she’s not.) Thankfully, she has a standing appointment with Dr. Harvey on Winter 9.
