Summary
Jennifer Walters has a case in New York and associates Nelson & Murdock as her co-counsel. The opposing party is an old adversary of Matt’s – with a score to settle. Along the way, Jennifer gets to know Matt better and realizes she didn’t know him as well as she thought she did.
This story takes place a few months after She-Hulk: Attorney at Law but before Daredevil: Born Again. I have not tried to figure out where it fits, or even if it does fit, in the Marvel/Disney+ timeline. The tone is a little darker than She-Hulk: Attorney at Law and a little lighter than Netflix Daredevil. I hope you will enjoy the story for what it is, an exploration of how Jennifer and Matt’s relationship might have developed after they met in L.A.

Summary
This is the fourth entry in my series of legal commentaries. With everyone talking about Matt Murdock, “a really good lawyer,” after Spider-Man: No Way Home, I was reminded that I hadn’t yet tackled the legal issues in The Defenders. So here is my take on them, focusing mostly on Matt’s big cross-examination scene in the Aaron James trial.

Season three of Daredevil didn’t feature any big courtroom scenes (big sigh of relief from me), but quite a few interesting legal issues popped up over the course of the season.

Legal Errors in the Trial of Frank Castle and Daredevil Season Two by Heisey

Summary
This is the one that started it all. I had (still have) some strong opinions about the case of People v. Frank Castle and just had to get them off my chest. So I posted them on Tumblr and now here. This is my “compendium” of the legal errors before and during Frank Castle’s trial in season two of Daredevil, along with a few other goofs not related to the trial. A few preliminary comments: Daredevil was a TV series, so strict adherence to reality is not expected. Some things will always be done for dramatic effect or to keep the story moving along. But I don’t think that explains or excuses all of these errors.

Summary
As I'm writing this, AO3 just announced a new limit on the number of tags that authors can add to their works. The limit is 75 total tags across Fandoms, Characters, Relationships, and Additional tags. The limit does not apply to Ratings, Warnings, or Categories.
This work is going to explain what a tag is, how it works on AO3, and what an author can do to limit their tags but still get the most use out of them. This work is aimed at authors on AO3, but readers might find it interesting as well.
This work is not going to tell writers how they should or should not tag. My goal is just to help authors make informed decisions for their own tagging preferences.

Summary
This is how it is: the world goes down the toilet, aliens start dropping from the sky, and the oceans die all at once. Everything is poison and the poison is everywhere. What's left is nothing but echoes in the dust.
Despite all that, there they were—a co-dependent ex-lawyer-slash-doctor, a woman who cut out her own emotions with a knife instead of having to feel them, and a blind lobotomized ninja who couldn't put a sentence together to save his life.
Family is what you make it.

Summary
Based on this prompt: Foggy forgets to lock the doors at the office one night and when he gets there the next morning he finds a blind homeless guy curled up in the corner.
Foggy is a lawyer with his own practice. Matt's an ex-law student and vigilante.
“Hello, I’m Foggy. What’s your name?” Foggy asks. It is, admittedly, not necessarily the best opening line, but it’s certainly not the worse.

Summary
Foggy never wanted a slave. He gets given one as a gift for being accepted at law school anyway.
They’re called study-aids - meant to help you at uni. But Foggy knows what study-aids are usually used for, and he’d rather walk into traffic than be complicit in that.
In fact, maybe he can get away with treating him not like a slave at all? At least the guy seems like, *really* into the idea of studying law...
An enslaved Matt gets given to Foggy and it’s the biggest lucky break of his so far so unlucky life. Foggy seems intent on letting him pretend to be a free person, even allows him to cover the collar he is forced to wear. Matt is already hiding his senses, so his legal status is just one more thing he has to conceal from the world now.
Unfortunately, Matt still has the Devil inside, and when Foggy gives him enough freedom to start coming home with bruises, explanations to his owner become a bit tricky…
(Note: Slavery AU focused on characterization, recovery, Daredevil shenanigans and plot, and Matt doing his best to fight for justice in the most unjust scenario he's yet been in. No non-con between Matt and Foggy.)

Summary
Frank Castle tries his best to avoid other vigilantes, but apparently just staying out of Manhattan isn't good enough anymore. When he has a run-in with a child calling himself "Spider-Man" right in the middle of a gang's headquarters, he affirms to himself that it's none of his goddamn business.
Then the kid's aunt doesn't make it out.
Fucking brilliant.
