Cindy Berman is just trying to get through her third year of university. For the first time ever her life is going great, her sister got into university instead of prison, her boyfriend is really such a sweet guy and she's on track to becoming a doctor. Her ex-best friend and new anatomy class partner, Alice, shouldn't disrupt any of that. Right?
Ziggy Berman does not want to be at university. Surrounded by Sunnyvalers who all think they're better than her. But it was this or alcoholism, and she's not old enough to buy alcohol. Still university is somewhat interesting. There's good weed, her favourite nurse and for some reason the son of the sheriff and heir to Sunnyvale, Nick Goode, has decided to become her best friend.
