“This is fucking stupid.” He says, aggravated.
“No it fucking ain’t you suicidal prick.” Chase snaps back at him. The older man is definitely angrier than he’d been a few hours ago, far more irritated compared to when he’d first shown up at Roberts crumbling apartment unannounced.
“Yes it fucking is!” He snaps right back. “I don’t need to be doing this.”
“Robert please, it’s not going to fucking kill you.” Chase amps up again, they’d been going back and forth for the last 2 and a half hours. Doing the same spiel for every piece of cloth Robert picked from the big, corporate bag of nesting shit sent to him by SDN.

Summary

After the last Scout was murdered with his respawn deactivated a new Scout had be found before the cease fire was up, and though she went to search for a beta, Miss Pauling returned with an omega named Jeremy, a smart mouth, sharp tempered omega from a family of eight brothers and a bat made for bashing in skulls. Despite being an omega he has no desires for a mate/alpha and the thought of ever having pups made him laugh.
Given the chance to support his mother and older brother's he took the deal of a life time and headed to New Mexico under the guise of a construction job. Now he's faced with eight alpha's and his trusty bat itching to put them into place. -

Summary
At first, she'd hated it. Lacking any kind of patience, she had burned countless pans and charred hundreds of unsuspecting cookies. She nearly laughed at the memory now, remembering the time the oven began to smoke something fierce when she accidentally put in wax paper instead of parchment. Over time, though, and many, many attempts, she began to enjoy it. Normally, trial and error was an approach she almost never took—it was embarrassing to get things wrong more than once—but in this particular case, it was quite rewarding.

A small woman carrying a briefcase scurried to the counter, sitting in the empty seat near the lounging figure. Brushing away the dust on her dark purple pencil skirt, the woman sat, fidgeting with the collar of her lighter purple blouse before she opened the worn briefcase and placed a manila folder before the figure. She cleared her throat.
"I've got a job for you, it pays a lot," she said, getting straight to the point.
The figure barely glanced at her, continuing to drink, enjoying the burn of the alcohol.
"It's a wonder how you found me.”
