Summary
To Wesker's credit, he'd actually booked himself a hotel room, which was more than could be said for his European disappearances, where he'd simply walk into a warehouse party on Friday evening and wouldn't leave until promptly before his return flight.
The lock finally turned and Will looked up from the report he'd been pretending to read. He wished he hadn't.
Albert stepped through the door carefully- a concerted effort not to stumble, clearly- looking like he'd been dragged backwards through every nightclub in Miami.
Of which there were many.
--
Albert Wesker has a nasty habit of disappearing, and Umbrella has a nastier habit of sending the only man who can reliably pull him back from the brink on rescue missions.

Summary
In the beginning, there was Wesker.
Before the blinding light and the cruel scrape of cold instruments against tender skin, there was Wesker.
Beyond the acrid chemicals and the pale figures who circled the examination table, there was Wesker.
A name ingrained in the empty spaces where memories did not exist.
An echo that pulsed alongside each beat of a newly constructed heart.
Wesker, Wesker, Wesker.
Zeno was created in Wesker's image.
This, he was never allowed to forget.

Summary
Will watched the entire thing with a clinician's eye, trying to quiet the other eye buried under it- the appreciative one.
He saw it all- the angle of Wesker's shoulders, the delay in his movement, the way he was holding himself together a tad too tightly. The illusion of control and wellness. It was almost convincing. He almost looked composed, and to the untrained eye he would seem fine.
--
In which one William Birkin was pulled from the wreckage of Raccoon City, because Albert Wesker would trust nobody else to take care of him- and as much as he loathes to admit it, he needs care.
