Summary
Through a completely unrealistic series of events, Naruto—the Hokage of Konoha—lands in the body of his younger counterpart, twenty-two years into the past.
What follows is Naruto making the most of his second life which includes turning revenge-thirsty Sasuke into a normal angsty teenager, helping Sakura get over her puppy crush, annoying Kakashi and somehow getting himself entangled in a romance with Shikamaru (which for the record, doesn’t even feel like one).
Orochimaru and the Akatsuki linger in the background, but Naruto’s not letting them ruin his life by a stupid war to feed the ego of a dead man. Again, that is.

Summary
I've had this idea for a long time and I finally put it together! So it's a same-age au where Sakura is the same age as Kakashi is in canon. Definitely had to bend timelines and characters ages so bear with me but this was really fun to write. It starts out with a young arrogant Kakashi meeting a young sweet Sakura and ends all the way into Boruto territory. Elbows tucked in close, calloused knuckles, and darting eyes.A crooked nose, the kind of odd, subtle little twist that gives the boy’s large green eyes a quirky flare. The kind of nose that was broken one too many times and hadn’t been set properly often enough.
That was not the behavior of someone with a ridiculously overpowered Quirk. That was especially not the behavior he’d seen during the exam footage, the footage of a green-haired teenager who was flashy and open and seemed to radiate power.
Illogical.

Or: Midoriya gets into vigilantism a little too early, with a Quirk more like his uncle's than his father's, and, frankly, half the time he's just along for the ride.

After a failed suicide attempt, years of bullying, and his mother's death, Izuku Midoriya doesn't think he has any option besides joining the League of Villains. After all, foster care is no place for a quirkless kid like him. Plus, working as a hacker and analyst for the League doesn't sound like it would be too bad. But, after meeting a hurt little girl in Overhaul's headquarters, Toga and Izuku can't just sit back and take orders from Shigaraki anymore. With some careful consideration, Izuku figures a villain reformation program at UA doesn't sound horrible, even if it means having to put up with Bakugou.
