Summary
Stocking couldn't pinpoint where it truly started. There were so many technical beginnings to this story she couldn't pin it down.
She could start with when she and Panty first met when they were put together in a foster home. She could start with when they had their first argument. She could start with when the resentment began or when their relationship was threatening to crack everyday near each other, yet with no way to make up for it all.
Where she'd like to start was when they both first saw those kind green eyes staring up at them, frowning deeply, Stocking staring at her sister in shock as she showed more vulnerability than she ever did, all the while that precious kid was staring up at them worriedly.
"I don't want someone else to end up like me and Kacchan..."
She didn't think she'd end up repaying him *this* way alongside her sister. Somehow, she doesn't really mind. It was a weird existence but one she was happy with.

Izuku is 11 when starts finding flowers on his desk. Some are crumpled—their delicate petals squished between other tiny fingers before falling onto his workspace—while others look fresh plucked. There are never any stems. Always, it’s just the flower head: clipped by nails or scissors right up to the stem base, like tiny beheaded gems. Maybe if he knew less, if he ignored the stomach-churning looks of his classmates and didn’t have to limp home everyday trying to hide the bruises and loneliness, he’d see them as a gift.
But they are not roses. Not gardenias, not violets, not tulips or dandelions. They’re not love flowers.
It takes 3 years more years of this for Midoriya to find himself on the roof, holding up the splayed petals of a red spider lily.
In some essential way, he’s already lost the chance to be whole. But maybe, years later—he’ll take a gamble at healing.

Katsuki is a retired Army Ranger turned Firefighter. Shouto used to strip to pay for his veterinarian school. Izuku did underground boxing with Ochako to pay for their schooling. Ochako is a vet-tech. Eri is the sweetest little secretary. Sero definitely has a side business with grass clippings. Mina is an exotic dancer. Eijiro is also a firefighter.
