Mike, Will, Lucas and Dustin meet up with their old high school DnD group in Hamilton, Ohio, for a week-long New Years celebration, and one last epic campaign before Max and Lucas become parents.
In the small Ohio town, a string of strange animal encounters and unexplainable phenomena leads the party to the center of a dark mystery, revealing more than just closeted secrets along the way.
When a party member gets abducted, allies must work together to accomplish the impossible, and bring them home.
Potions, magic, alternate dimensions, gods, ghosts, crazy sci-fi shit… Things couldn’t get any weirder and the veil of reality has never been so thin… Also, Mike and Will have never been this close before.

But when push comes to shove, he isn't good enough for Eleven as she spends each day stressed out of her mind about losing. About Vecna. They broke up, and while he isn't happy about it, he also isn't one to give up.
Then he gets the idea. To show Eleven how great of a boyfriend he is with no need to win her back right away.
If he pretends to date someone else, then he can kill two birds with one stone. It couldn’t just be anyone though, not with the apocalypse and all the upside down shit they were dealing with.

Maybe it was a bad idea when Will suggested that he and Mike should race against each other to see who could lose their virginity first.
That summer wasn’t going to be anything he’d ever imagined. Much worse than losing a stupid fucking race and much better than winning it.
“We could make a race out of it?” Maybe it was the way Will’s eyes beamed and the way the words of the suggestion left him, that intrigued something in Mike.
Mike hesitated before answering, not wanting to sound too eager, “How?”

All of a sudden, Will is juggling new feelings for Alex and this mystery writer, and old feelings for his best friend, who he just cannot seem to move on from.

Will knows exactly what Mike is up to, but if Mike wants to play the role of the Secret Admirer, Will is more than happy to play the role of the Tease. After all, a Paladin is only as good as the Cleric who keeps him on his toes.
