as i said in my tumblr post: dean walking in on sam self-harming during s7 🤤🤤🤤 sam staring up at him with wide, wet eyes, can't say anything, blade covered in blood. dean spinning the emotive wheel and landing on rage: "what the hell, sammy? now my brother's a teenage girl?"
“I’m not—” Sam stops. He feels sick and fuzzy. Any moment now, Satan’s gonna start getting chatty. The side of the bathtub should be firm and hard against his back, but even that lacks materiality. Everything is just as fake as everything else. “Okay, first of all, I’m not a teenage girl.” It’s the wrong thing to go after, he’s barely making sense.
And Dean doesn’t even deign to respond to that verbally. He just nods at the cuts.

Xander pulls back the curtain and walks into her pathetic little psych cell. For the first time since Dawn’s known him, there’s some gray in his hair. And he’s changed up his eye patch, or, rather, changed it back.
“Back in black,” Dawn says dully.

Dean glances at John. He’s looking at Sam.
“I’m alright, Sammy,” Dean says. “Looks worse than it is.”
“It looks pretty fucking bad."
Dean hasn’t gotten a good look at himself, but he’s sure Sam isn’t wrong. It still isn’t as bad as it looks—he hit his head and got his face sliced up. Surface shit. The skinned knees of hunting. It’s the fact he got hurt at all on what was supposed to be a simple job that’s making Dean shove shame down by the barrelful and Sam flare up like he came home half-dead.

Summary
Castiel Novak is used to change. He's used to being the new kid in school. So when he moves with his family to the small town of Rail Pass, he doesn't expect things to be much different than the last three towns.
But then he meets Dean Winchester, an aggressive fellow student who sees Castiel as the shiny new toy he and his friends get to mess with. Castiel has had his fair share of bullies in the past, but nothing like this. He's never felt this way about a bully, or anyone for that matter, before. Maybe something's wrong with him, that he could feel so attracted to someone who makes his everyday life hell.
