Before he can fully process what he’s doing, ice cold water is assaulting his back and freezing his skin even through his suit jacket and shirt that he makes no effort to remove even though they were a present from Dave and dry-cleaning will be hell.
He’s so unaware that he doesn’t even know he’s crying till he tastes salt. The realisation only causes him to sob harder because this is who he really is. This is what happens when the walls come down and there’s nobody left to pretend for.
He falls apart, and it’s disgusting to see.

But not with much weight. Sure, Pete was hot. But so were all of the rest of Kinn’s bodyguards. That wasn’t notable. It wasn’t worth more than a passing once-over, or an absent glance at the man’s ass in those suits they insisted on wearing. He had a nice ass, but it didn’t stick in Vegas’ mind. It was passing lust, nothing more. And he certainly wasn’t hotter than the other bodyguards– not Porsche, for example.
The only thing notable about Pete was that he had a surprisingly soft, cute face, and a sunny, disarming smile. He looked far too soft for his job.
But he was Tankhun’s head bodyguard, and one of the men that Kinn often tapped for important missions. Which meant that the cute, soft face was hiding real talent and skill.
So yes, Vegas noticed Pete. But it didn’t mean anything.

A collection of one-shots to combat my epic WangXian/MDZS feels. Each chapter is a pretty self-contained scene that wouldn't leave me alone until I wrote it. It jumps around a bit in time, but I'll make it clear which chapter takes place in which time! It's mostly (shameless!) smut if I'm honest, but also all the fluffy goodness and plotless banter a growing WangXian fan needs. Occasionally, I might write an angsty as hell piece and sob my way through it. We'll see! Anyway, I hope you enjoy!!
