Well, one would assume that they’re childhood friends. Midoriya says as much, though he tends to say ‘childhood friend’ the way most people say ‘love of my life.’

"S-Scenting!?" Fjord splutters, squeaking, like that is the important part of what Essek said.
"You have smelt oddly like coconut and sunshine these past few days," Caduceus dutifully informs him.
He's slightly drowned out by several people shouting, "Heat!?" Of them, Jester's the only one to follow up, hysterically exclaiming, "This was never in Tusk Love!"
