Both are too vulnerable for California streets and so Andrew shoves them down with revulsion, threading his fingers through Moreau’s hair to force his head up and examine the gouges of his throat with a clinical disinterest. History sounds too close to misunderstanding for him to find any true detachment. “Did Johnson ever touch Neil?”
