Summary
Usually, when Teru left, Shigeo found himself spending a lot more time in the kitchen. Getting snacks, trying to cook, clean maybe, organizing and re-organising spices. He didn’t know why — he just found himself more comfortable in that space than anywhere else without Teru.
Eventually, he realized that the kitchen was close to the door, and that if Teru came home, all he’d have to do was take a couple steps forward and he’d be there. But he kept that to himself.
