reciprocity (definition): a social mechanism by which good behaviour is rewarded with good behaviour, and negative behaviour is punished. In game theory, it favours a cooperative strategy where the first choice of action should always be friendly, and where forgiveness is allowed once the antisocial party cooperates once again. A learned survival mechanism in many animal species.
Why Yashamaru had asked Baki to train Temari with such an apologetic tone, Baki could not figure out. It was not as if Baki could refuse, or as if he had any reason to.
When Yashamaru was killed, it finally hit Baki that Yashamaru’s silent warnings were to be heeded downstream of his first request, but by then, it had been too late to extricate himself from this horror of a family.
OR. The Fourth Kazekage needs a jōnin leader assigned to his children's squad. He has no volunteers, and has no choice but to doom many of them to a trial run with Gaara. All of them return from the missions shaken, if they return at all, and Baki knows it’s only a matter of time before it’s his turn on the chopping block.

Davos froze mid bite. Aeron was watching him, and the look on his face was composed, resigned—as if he were ready for Davos to confess all the sins that had been weighing heavy between them. Davos felt much in the presence of a very venomous snake, and tried desperately to avoid treading too close to it.
“Only a fool would patrol with the enemy,” said Davos.
A young Bracken squire goes missing in the Whispering Woods, and Davos Blackwood is accused of the crime. To clear the Blackwood name, he must go on a quest with ser Aeron Bracken to find the boy, deep in the darkest part of the forest.
Unbeknownst to their families, this is not their first patrol together. Unbeknownst to them, something lurks between the shadows of the trees, and if they are not careful, it may be their last.

Summary
interface (definition): a surface or point regarded as the common boundary of two bodies, spaces, or phases, where they meet and interact.
While Gaara’s mind had been born with an unwanted guest and much trauma, Gaara’s body was a desolate place of few visitors, though all that came left a mark.
What was inside of his body did not often go outside of it. In fact, his skin would not really make contact with the world at all, and even rarer still with the bodies of others, if Gaara could help it.
OR
Gaara tries to figure out how much everyone hates him. The answer comes to him one bodily interface at a time.

Ilya almost dropped his cigarette. His English was shitty, but he had studied that sentence enough times over the years to understand it immediately. He didn't even think about his words much anymore, but it was impossible to avoid them.
He turned instinctively, and was face to face with Shane fucking Hollander.
Out of almost seven billion people, of course Ilya's soulmate had to be his fated rival. It was almost poetic. Still, Ilya had enough sense to realize just how bad this was.
or, Shane says Ilya's soulmate words. Ilya vows to never speak a word to him to keep him from finding out. They fall in love anyway.

Summary
Gaara is usually content with the role he plays in Naruto's life, but when Sasuke breaks his heart once again, he is unable to cope with it.
He wants so badly to give himself up to Naruto completely, and give him all the love he deserves, even when he knows he can never be Sasuke. He would do anything for Naruto to be happy, anything to soothe the hurt he feels in his chest.
Maybe that makes him selfish.
