JudeLow’s face flushes, his ears pinning themselves flat against his skull in a desperate attempt to hide his embarrassment. “The—the clicking sound! I think it’s a loose clutch cable. Let’s look at the secondary gear—”
“Don’t change the subject,” Sharpness chuckles, stepping right into JudeLow’s personal space, trapping him against the motorcycle’s frame. “Do you think I’m pretty?”
JudeLow just wants to fix vehicles in peace. Sharpness just wants to push every single one of JudeLow’s buttons.

Sharpness had been at the top of it for months—grades, rankings, competitions, you name it. Want to enter anything at all? Well too bad. Sharpness is already first by a marathon. Then one random Monday, there it was:

2. Sharpness
Sharpness stared at it like it had personally betrayed him. Well technically, it just did. It showed a completely different person that isn't him.
"Who even is that?" He demanded, talking mainly just to himself.
From the back of the room, someone—that sounded an awfully lot like Tai—answered, "That's the new transfer student." Sharpness rolled his eyes.

“Mike,” and Will sounds supremely unimpressed, “I just took control of three Demos, two of which were miles away, and proceeded to snap their limbs and kill them with my mind. Not only that, I just told you that I did it by drawing strength, in large part, from being your friend. You’re worried about freaking me out? Really?”
“Yeah, and I’m the guy who watched you do it and thought that it was the hottest thing I’d ever seen in my life, so what does that say about me?”
There’s a long, shocked silence.
“See, this is why I don’t think out loud,” Mike jokes weakly.

Mike falls a little bit more in love with Will because, at this point, who wouldn't? He just saved Mike's life, after all. Unfortunately, the others don't quite see it that way, and it's getting to Will a little bit. Mike intends to remedy that.
