Summary
Vincent Whittman, an up and coming weather reporter, feels a void in his heart. He’s worked hard to get where he is, but he can’t help but feel like it isn’t enough. Vincent knows he can be bigger, reach greater heights, and glow even brighter. In his thirst for power and attention, he summons The Devil, Lucifer. Lucifer, begrudgingly charmed by Vincent’s personality and flowery compliments, decides to help him in his pursuit for fame. As they spend more time together, Vincent becomes increasingly obsessed with Lucifer, and his mental state gradually unravels. In this game of manipulation and manic fixations, a truly odd relationship develops between a self-obsessed serial killer and the Devil himself.

What if humanity had never made it to Mars?
In this version of their history, the resource wars from the 21st century spilled over into a full on Third World War, but those who survived managed to rebuild and eventually returned to space under sub-light speeds.
In 2157 a turian navy frigate is forced to go through an uncharted relay to track down and stop a batarian slaver cruiser. The same ship has been abducting humans from the Sol system with the Council none the wiser. Through the Charon Relay, the turians find the batarians attacking the third planet from the system’s star, and the First Contact War takes a new form.

It’s a sleepless night when Bucky hears a loud bang in the apartment above him. He tells himself he is going upstairs to make sure no one is breaking in, not that he is worried for his neighbor. He pushes away the thought of hoping someone would break in, just so he can get into a fight to tire him out.
Reaching his neighbors door, Bucky knocks softly. He doesn’t want to disturb anyone. He listens intently, trying to filter out any noise not coming from the apartment. He knocks again, louder this time, wondering if he made the sound up. He hears another loud thud, followed by a groan that sounded a lot like someone was in pain. Without a second thought, Bucky steps back and kicks the door open. He stumbles into his neighbor's apartment and is almost shocked by what he finds.

“You are something else,” Alastor mutters, his smirk turning kind of deranged as he watches the commotion in the water when an alligator thrashes in it to get to the human meat.
“Oh, darling,” Lucifer huffs, successfully pulling Alastor’s attention to him as he steps into his personal space. He stands on his tip toes until the barrel of the Winchester rests against the center of his forehead. “You don’t know the half of it,” he whispers with confidence, grinning a bit too wide with the slightly too sharp teeth and his eyes might have an unnatural red glow. Risky, putting it in one word.
