“So then—” Minho says, a smile blooming on his face, “I’ll be the charming prince of your dreams who rescues the romantic beast from your jaded, withered heart.”
“‘Rescues?’” Jisung laughs, trying to stamp out the butterflies rising behind his ribs. “Not ‘slays?’”
“Why?” Minho asks with a puzzled frown. “He deserves a happy ending just as much as anyone else.”
“Oh.” Jisung is definitely blushing. “That… might be the most romantic thing I’ve ever heard.”
“Oh,” Minho echoes. “Then we’re off to a good start.”

Summary
Every time Minho sits at the beach to watch him surf, he can’t help but be in awe of him.
Jisung is a blur of white and sunburnt hair as the waves keep coming, and Minho tries to quell the uneasiness he feels in his stomach every time he watches the boy go directly toward it. Jisung is good at this, and he knows what he’s doing.

For Minho, summers are for relaxing at the beach, partying when he can, and realizing he's irreparably in love with his best friend.

Summary
Jisung meets Minho on a hot summer morning, the July sun unforgiving outside.
Walking into the diner makes Jisung feel like he is being sent back in time — to a time when he wasn’t born at all, but also to all those days in his childhood when he would come here with his parents. The checkered floors remain the same, the pink leather booths as shiny as he remembers them being; nostalgia stirs in his chest as the waiters skate past him, effortlessly balancing trays full of food on skilled hands.
Mel’s Diner is as pink and cozy as he remembers it being.
“Hi, welcome to Mel’s Diner!” the waiter in their signature pink uniform and white skates greets cheerfully. “What can I help you with today?”
When their eyes meet and Jisung is faced with the most beautiful man he has ever seen, he doesn't expect his life to change the way it does.

Summary
Jisung runs through every tube of acrylics he owns in a desperate attempt to squash how anxious he feels at the thought of getting to know someone new, his brushstrokes harsh and uneven through the late hours of the night. It takes several canvases for him to realize that he needs to do something about it.

Jisung, a struggling artist, meets Minho in one of his exhibitions. Unassuming at first, Jisung doesn't realize that Minho is far too familiar with his art and has been wanting to meet the artist for a long time.
And he is willing to take Jisung's offer to see the world through different lenses.
