"The harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph. What we obtain too cheap, we esteem too lightly; 'tis dearness only that gives everything its value. I love the man that can smile in trouble, that can gather strength from distress, and grow brave by reflection." -Thomas Paine

  2. Summary

”I can give not what men call love,
    But wilt thou accept not
The worship the heart lifts above
    And the Heavens reject not,—
The desire of the moth for the star,
Of the night for the morrow,
    The devotion to something afar
From the sphere of our sorrow?”

    -Percy Bysshe Shelley

Amidst the rigid social structures at the end of 18th century England and despite the great differences of their birth, the Baron Buchanan and his valet find in each other strength and solace within the cloistered halls of Lehigh Park.

"You fought well," Baelor says, extending his hand, and Dunk takes it gratefully. It feels like an anchor, gives him something to focus on besides all the pain brimming up in his body.

    Summary

When tragedy tears through King's Landing and leaves both Prince Baelor and Prince Maekar shattered, Duncan finds himself drawn into their orbit. Guarding their children. Witnessing their grief. Wanting things a man like him should never want.
But in the ashes of the old world, new things are growing. In the hidden hours of the night, three men discover that love can be built from ruins—and that hearts, once broken, sometimes heal into shapes large enough to hold more than one.
But in the tunnels beneath the Red Keep, a secret waits. Three dragon eggs—cold, dormant, dead for a century—now guarded by a boy too young and too fierce to know that some things should stay buried.
Aerion will not let anyone else die. No matter what it wakes.

    Summary

The rules of Baelor and Aerion’s open relationship are simple: be honest, be safe, don’t bring anyone home without talking about it first.

The rules did not cover the possibility that Baelor, director of the Targaryen Natural History Museum and dragon paleontologist, and Aerion, head curator of the Targaryen Art Museum, would both independently start dating the same six-foot-five art handler from Flea Bottom who works at both of their museums and doesn’t know they live together.

The rules definitely did not cover what happens when a man with too-big hands and no last name worth mentioning sees something in both of them that they stopped seeing in each other.

This might not have been what their therapist had in mind.

    Summary

“My man.” Baelor’s mouth curved. His thumb traced the line of Dunk’s lower lip, and Dunk’s breath went to pieces under it. “There’s my man.” A beat. Then, lower, with the faintest gleam, testing the weight of the words: “My dog.”

And Dunk — who had carried that word like a coin in his fist since the day Maekar threw it — shut his eyes and made a low broken sound, and the whole of him went warm and loose and willing.
