Summary
Vox was pointing to Alastor, then putting his palm flat on his chest. His expression, as much as Angel could see of it, looked pathetic, beaten down, a sad little doggy that someone tried to drown in the river. Oh fuck, oh fuck, Angel thought, is he in love with him? It’d explain a lot. Was an honest-to-Lucifer soap opera playing out in their own backyard? Could Angel possibly be so lucky?
Angel sees something he shouldn’t and decides to take his fun where he can get it, which means inserting himself into a resistant Alastor’s life as his new gay BFF and confidante. Meanwhile, Alastor tries to make sense of the changes he’s gone through over the decades, and Vox struggles with the prospect of losing his fragile empire.

Charlie nodded. “Yes! Yes, I did.”
Alastor stayed quiet for several uncomfortable moments. His eerie grin didn’t move. “I don’t think this arrangement is ideal,” was his eventual verdict.
After his great humiliation, Vox decides he should try to strike out on his own. But is it really possible to leave the past behind?

The hotel has been open for weeks now, yet no one is interested in Charlie's ideas of redemption and peace. Without anyone to help her, the hotel itself has deteriorated, and she was starting to lose hope of anyone ever giving redemption a shot.
Until, an overlord she'd never heard of named Vox showed up at her door, offering her a deal to sponsor the hotel. The smart part of her brain told her this was a huge mistake, that it would be stupid to agree to something like this.
But, the other part thought it was a great idea. the overlord didn't want her to hurt anyone in exchange. In fact, the deal seemed to favour her a lot more than it did him.

Summary
A brutal serial killer is murdering women on the streets of 1950s New Orleans, and Charlie Morningstar, disguised as a human, aims to stop them and bring an escaped demon back to Hell. These two men join her in the hunt, but have their own dark secrets lurking beneath. The three must learn to work together in addition to managing their growing feelings for each other.
