When Remus is assigned to investigate the phenomenon, he's paired with Senior Auror Sirius Black, his best friend since Hogwarts. Sirius has always occupied a unique place in Remus's life, closer than family and more than best friends.
As the investigation deepens, the two are forced to spend more time together than they have in years. Long days become late nights. Old feelings begin surfacing in ways Remus is not prepared to acknowledge.
