    The Hermits aren't sure what to think of the stranger that suddenly appeared on their server. But one thing is certain: this guy needs help.

    Aka- Giratina, in its frenzy, sets Ingo’s course to Hisui. Without considering what it is doing, a part of it that is still calm grabs Ingo, dooming him. It gets attached and offers to make him a new body, understanding that it will be flawed but willing to try.

    Giratina tries its best and it’s able to save almost all of Ingo's face but it does not get his body right, as it lacks a lot of understanding about humans and how they work. But hey! Ingo is alive. That’s surely a good thing because it means he can eventually reunite with his family.

    (This au that has totally taken my brain over and Ingo gets to be a little uncanny and cosmically horrifying as a treat.)

    Huh, is all Cub can think as he surveys the landscape around him with a sharp eye and a spyglass.
    "This island wasn't on any map." He says out loud, mostly to fill the silence.

    "Let's get exploring then, shall we?" He announces to no one in particular, and hops off the boulder he'd been perched atop as a vantage point.

    He doesn't see the void staring at him from the shadows.

    OR

    Cub is an android scientist running from a lot of very important people, but he managed to escape to a remote, unmapped island smack-dab in the middle of nowhere.

    An island that just so happens to be filled with creatures only dreamed of (and a few that could only appear in the very worst of nightmares).

    It's going to take a while for them to trust him, if he even lives for that long.

    Cub inadvertently 'discovers' a new continent and a whole bunch of cryptids (he doesn't know they're there yet) and manages to become a cryptid TO the cryptids.
