“Grian?” Scar finally yells after knocking for 5 minutes straight.
And to no avail, because he still hasn't gotten a response. A familiar, horrible feeling is continuing to pool in his gut. Grian was late to their meet-up to work on a slime farm. He’s never late. Ever. So scar, being the worried boyfriend that he is, decided to check on him at his huge … rock house thingy. But it seemed like Grian wasn’t there. And of course, he was not giving up until he made sure Grian was safe and sound.
Or: Grian “forgot” to sleep for a week or so and is now facing the consequences. Don’t worry though, he has an awesome boyfriend to help him through it.

The game was over, and Grian had won. There was blood staining his trembling hands, and his heart felt shredded to pieces, but he was the undeniable winner of Third Life. He could do whatever he wanted now, with the barriers gone - and he decided to die, and let things end once and for all.
Only, they didn't.

Or; after killing himself at the end of Third Life, Grian wakes up at the beginning of the server, given a fresh chance to try again and get things right. It doesn't take long for him to decide - this time, Scar is going to be the winner, no matter what it takes.

Summary
Grian is a notorious pirate hunter. But that changes when he finds an injured man by the name of Scar on the beach. When Grian finds out Scar is a pirate, and Scar finds out Grian is a pirate hunter, they make a deal.
One month at sea, Grian as the captain of the ship. If Scar can't convince Grian to like being a pirate, he lets Scar and his crew go. If he doesn't, Grian gets to turn Scar with the million coin bounty on his head.
Scar knows well that Grian could just use up that month and turn him in. But he never goes down without a fight.

There is a voice still sits in the back of his mind, whispering promises of a world without tying someone to his life.
It is too good to be true, but Grian can’t help but hope.
At the surface, he is alone still and he takes the moment to breathe.
There are no red lives in this world, not yet at least, so he is not afraid to close his eyes, tilt his head back and put his face to the sun.
Grian is alone.
And for the first time since appearing in this world, he hates it.
He hates not having Scar’s constant humming and the others running past his in progress base. He hates the lack of sound that he is left with in this forest, the silence that fills the air, all noise swallowed by the cave entrance near him.
But the silence does not last for long, there’s footsteps in the distance.
