    "And I could have a gun. What's new?" Shane thinks. Shane can't hide the hurt in his eyes as he meets Ilya's gaze, calm and collected. 

    "She's American, it would be easy citizenship," he pauses, typing on his phone absentmindedly. "She would do it. Her father is goalie Sergei Vitrov."

    Shane scoffs, "Yeah, you've told me."

    "She would help me..." Ilya says in a singsong tone.
