Summary
Yet another masquerade is thrown by the eccentric Professor Clayton Azran, in the sprawling mansion he inherited by his parent's passing, in order to raise money for his next archeological dig. Despite the rumors of devil-worship, blasphemy, and, god forbid, scientific research, occurring on the "accursed property", the rumors only serve to attract the curiosity of aristocrats and socialites.
Silas Morgan, though he owes the professor much, wishes desperately that he were not on duty as security for the event, and instead, preferably, as far away from the mass of judgmental and rich folk as he could be.
Escher Krezkov, dragged along by the wealthy noblewoman who is trapped with him in a mutually loveless marriage, is simply looking for someone interesting in the dreadfully boring crowd.

Summary
In the wake of a rising number of disappearances and murders, Sheriff Morgan is working to track down and stop the gang known as The Devil's Brides.
The leads are few and haven't led anywhere thus far, but Shepherd thinks he's finally found the one that will bring him to the Bride's doorstep to rain his judgment down upon them: A reclusive, gorgeous apothecary he suspects is getting blackmailed by the gang.
The two, joined by a half-elven noble woman who has the Devil's eyes set upon her, venture out into the desert plains, to mount Ravenloft, the lair of the Brides.
The fight may be bloody, but Shepherd has faith that he'll be able to protect Eden and stop the beautiful Devil Strahd.

Summary
Escher misses Shepherd. He misses him like he misses the sun, like he misses breathing.
Renewal and regrowth can come from unexpected places, and sometimes, from places that may be expected, though not in the way one might have thought they'd come about.
Another red tiefling, familiar and yet so different from his old love. And the love is different, as well. Instead of attraction and romance, his heart blooms with the desperate want to care for this band of too-young adventurers (seriously why are most of the BDW party in like their 20s they are Too Young For This Shit)
