Mydei scrolls down his phone and sends a quick message to his mother to ‘please help and come home soon’ and sighs at the sight of his fuming father that was barely held back by his uncle Krateros. He’s not even going to talk about his asshole great uncle Gnaeus who guffawed upon learning their situation and left with a smug grin (“Wait until Nikador hears about this! Hah! The heir of the proud great lions on Kremnos – a bottom!”).
Then his gaze shifts to the considering and calm look of Phainon’s father (and hey, look it was the hot topless weird man that suddenly appeared before him months before, which he obviously won’t reveal to his family now given the situation), only to blush when he noticed that the other was looking at his stomach.
“I knew this would happen!” screamed one of Phainon’s older sisters (and yes, he recognizes Ms. Boobs-Are-Smaller-Than-His from the cafe). “We should have neutered this one! I told you! I told all of you this since we first got him!”
A modern AU where Gorgo is the family therapist of Phainon with Nanook and the Lord Ravagers. Oh, and a pregnancy reveal story before and after said reveal because phaidei are freaks for each other.

It feels like he’s looking at someone he hasn’t seen in years. Then he speaks, “Are you open?” This, he knows, is the man of his dreams. Blue eyes are settled on the half-done braid in his hair.

Phainon’s eyes travel to the stars, a small smile on his face, he glows in the grass, tears prick at his eyes, and he laughs to himself. Mydei slowly sits down, and Phainon scooches himself into his lap. He smiles sadly at him, “I’m glad,” he reaches out to touch Mydei’s face, “That I can spend tonight with you.”
“What do you mean?” He doesn’t let the worry slip into his voice, not yet.
“There are too many coreflames in this body.” Phainon responds, his eyes traveling up to Mydei, “My body can’t hold them all. I’ve ushered in the Era Nova… and now, I can finally see it.”
“What do you mean?” He repeats, cupping Phainon’s face, “We can find a way to stabilize it. Anaxa can figure something else.”
“Mmm… I don’t think he can. And… something tells me that this is going to be my last conscious moment. I’ve been reliving it all, and I can’t remember the cycles; I can feel my mind crumbling. It’s scary, but sometimes, I hear your voice.”
