Summary
After the terrible truth was revealed and the loss of Bastila, Kairi-Revan is more lost than ever. She never trusted the Force, or the power of death that seemed intrinsic to it. Yet now that it seems critical to embrace its terrible potential and achieve the purpose she had been constructed to perform, the more the connection seems to elude her.
The crew heads to the heart of the Dark Side - the Sith tomb world of Korriban. Within the academy walls, betrayal and cruelty are encouraged. The Sith and the Dark Side seem to promise a way to restore her connection, and if her entire existence is only a means to an end for the Jedi to exterminate their enemies, what difference does it make in the methods, as long as the goal is accomplished?
Kairi-Revan is not the only one with a goal to accomplish...or presented with the Dark Side as an option to accomplish that goal. Uthar Wynn, Headmaster of the Academy, has a new class of Sith to appoint, an apprentice to be rid of, a compromised Dark Lord in his halls, and a surprising new option on the table to deal with all the above...

Summary

In the fourth hour of Beta Shift, Commander Riker trailed off mid-sentence and did not pick up where he left off. Eyebrows furrowed, Data turned to study him and found Commander Riker squinting at the viewscreen, one hand raised to shield his eyes. A vein throbbed in Riker’s temple, and his face had turned a pale shade of #FAF9DE.
“Sir?” Data prompted.
After a slight delay, Commander Riker said faintly, “I’m fine.”

“Tea!” says the other Padawan brightly. “I’m performing a tea ceremony for my Master, one that originates from her home world. It’ll be the first time I sit foveo with her!”
She says that word— foveo— as if it should mean something to Anakin.
It does not.
Anakin learns some things about the Jedi. He doesn't get it, until he kind of does.
