Hogwarts starts at 17. Dumbledore and Harry get him enrolled as Harry Evans, Insignificant Muggleborn, by hiding his scar and doing absolutely nothing else to change his appearance in any way. There’s a proper Luggage. Theo was born a werewolf. Harry and Dean start a football club. The Sidhe exist as a factual part of wizard history (not that Binns has anything to say about that.) Scabbers is looking sooooo sick poor guy :(

Summary
There is an aching chasm deep in Tom’s chest. Its black abyss drags all he is inside of it, hiding it far, far below the view of sunlight. He cannot reach into himself to pull it all out. A hand will not reach into the endless void to offer him help.
Then he meets Harry, and that hole has suddenly, blissfully, been filled.

Due to time travel shenanigans, when Harry ends up in the 1940s, Tom is missing a piece of his soul—just one, just Harry, as Tom and Harry cannot exist without one belonging to the other. Now that he has him, Tom will not be letting go. (It’s good, then, that Harry takes one look at Tom, who fills the gap in his brittle, aching, empty heart, and decides that he will not be letting go either.)

Time travel, Tom/Harry, except there is no slow burn; they lock eyes and are immediately feral for each other.

My favorite part might be in chapter 3 where Tom sits Abraxas and Orion down and threatens them all “you will accept Harry or else THERE IS NO OR ELSE” and they are like oh fuck what’s happening what’s Tom’s plan is he demoting us oh geez. And then they realize oh, no, Tom’s not getting rid of us he’s just attracted to someone for the first and probably only time of his life ok cool that’s fine awww good for him.

Soulmates aren’t real. They just fucking aren’t. Harry may not know much about magical theory, but he knows that much. Hermione would have bloody well told him if she’d ever come across something like that.
It doesn’t matter that his magic is behaving strangely ever since he woke up here. It doesn’t matter that he’s in an alternate dimension with different rules, it doesn’t matter that he’s suddenly a teenager again, and it definitely doesn’t fucking matter that Tom’s touch made him feel whole for the first time in forever.
It doesn’t.
It doesn’t, it doesn’t, it doesn’t.
Because it can’t. It’s too unfair, too much, too fucking awful. His parents’ murderer, his murderer, simply cannot occupy a place of such importance in his new life – he’s already stolen Harry’s childhood and Harry’ll be damned before he lets him steal his future as well.

Summary
The plan was simple: retrieve the Horcrux, survive the cave, maybe cry later.
Then Harry woke up with a splitting headache, a missing Headmaster, and his face buried in the lap of a long-dead wizard—who, miraculously, seems to be getting better.
Now bound by soul magic, hunted by Death Eaters, and navigating an improvised Horcrux hunt with a sarcastic revenant, Harry’s pretty sure this is how people go mad.
But at least he’s not doing it alone.
(AKA the Harry Potter Warm Bodies fic that literally only I wanted).
