The bathroom door opened, interrupting George’s efforts to convince himself that he wasn’t going to throw up, and he froze until the person spoke and he realized that neither of the footsteps moving down the aisle of the restroom belonged to people he knew. And by ‘people he knew,’ he meant Dream, his very sweet boyfriend who was probably waiting outside wondering what the hell was taking him so long and worrying himself to death because he was pretty sure if Dream’s brain had a little screen time graph like a phone, worrying about George would rank among one of his most used brain-apps. Next to finding new places to makeout without Sapnap walking in on them, thinking about Minecraft, and twitter. Oh, and George’s hair when wet. He thought that probably deserved its own spot in ‘things that occupied Dream’s brain when he was left on his own.’

After a stressful few weeks, George, Dream, Sapnap, and Punz decide to plan a small vacation. Everything is great until George wakes up sick on the day that they're supposed to go to Universal. Despite feeling absolutely miserable, he doesn't want to ruin their plans and is determined to make it through the trip without Dream finding out. -

The Dream he'd remembered had also been power-hungry and cruel and full of so much hatred for the world. George struggles with words.
Well, not necessarily words as a whole, but expressing genuine affection through words.
At first, when words were all they had— it could get frustrating. Being hundreds of miles away, talking behind a screen, the options were limited in expressing their admiration for one another.
But George just couldn’t manage the words out that often. Every once in a while he could force himself to say it, but the instances were few and far between. Even when he could manage it, the words fit awkwardly in his mouth and left an odd feeling on his tongue. It just didn't feel right— didn't feel like enough. He just wasn't good at this affection thing.
At least that’s the narrative the three of them had accepted until they all met up.
