Summary
In which Mumbo crosses several towns, learns some creative methods of self-defense, fights some monsters, sees things no human is meant to have seen, befriends a stranger, steals multiple cars, has inconvenient moral scruples, grows increasingly terrified of his own culpability in the apocalypse, grows a spine, blows up at least one building, accidentally prevents a murder, and attempts to find his best friend in the futile but ever-burning hope the man’s still alive.
He has to say, he’s so exhausted and terrified that he thinks he might just be mad?
(OR: the one where, after most of humanity turns into a series of terrifying monsters, Mumbo decides he’s going to risk his life on an apocalypse road trip to try to find out if Grian is alive. Things, as you might imagine, devolve from there.)

Summary
Xisuma finds himself waking up without his memory in the End, with no recollection of who he is or how he got there. It's clear he should get out, but this isn't as easy as he thought, since he has no idea what he is doing.
However, this is not the only thing that went weird on the server...

Also, I feel like the characterization of Ex is super accurate to how he is in canon.

Summary
Xisuma is enjoying a normal day on the Hermitcraftserver, when Evil Xisuma barges in. He claims their father is sick - the Doomslayer. Xisuma follows him back to his home where they grew up, back to the Fortress of Doom. But when not even VEGA knows what's going on, will they manage to help the Slayer?
Tango and Impulse, on the other hand, may just have gotten a little too curious to learn more about their admins dad, and are stumbling into things way over their head. -

We admins just prefer to have a heads up if anything's likely to come trying to dig you up, so we can keep you and everyone else safe."
Grian thought back to obsidian and endstone and blood, to tattered wings and torn robes and so so many unseeable eyes, and swallowed hard.
"No," he said, his voice shaky. "No, I don't think anyone will come looking for me."
"Okay," Xisuma answered, and that was that.
Until they invited two new people to the server.
or, the Hermitcraft Backstory Rule says that you don't ask other people about their backstory, you let them tell it if they want to and leave it be if they don't.
Unfortunately for Grian, one of the newest Hermits was also a player on his old server - one he'd thought had been dead for years - and she's going to drag his backstory kicking and screaming into the light whether she means to or not.
