Over the past few months, Tetsurou had become surprisingly fluent in Kei’s native tongue. Keiese—a highly specialized dialect of Japanese, of course—was built on sarcasm, weaponized saltiness, and layers of double-speak so slippery it occasionally veered into full-blown gaslighting.
And Tetsurou knew immediately what Kei was actually saying.

Summary
When Ushijima confesses during a particularly heartfelt movie that he does not understand the feeling of nostalgia the rest of the team has for their childhoods, Tendou makes it his mission to recreate iconic childhood experiences for the both of them, to make up for all the lost time spent growing up outcasts.
Unfortunately, nothing is done as easily as it is said, and the reality of their childhoods having already passed weighs heavily on them as the end of their summer - and Tendou's international move - fast approaches.
