Summary
In the aftermath of Baelor's death, the Targaryen family splinters. All Maekar wants is to hold the remnants of his family close, but even he knows that Aerion cannot stay here, not with Baelor's ghost still wandering the halls.
Dunk has had enough of princes for a lifetime, but Baelor's memory will not let him turn away from the wreckage before him. When Maekar begs him to take Aegon on as his squire, he accepts, and when Maekar begs him to look after Aerion, Dunk cannot turn him away. He is determined to fulfill his duty as Baelor's man, and to do it well, Aerion be damned.
Aerion's life crumbles down around his shoulders in the span of a single afternoon. The Maesters say his leg may never fully heal, his own father cannot look him in the eye, and his family wishes he had died in his uncle's stead. When he finds himself exiled to Lys with only the brother who hates him and the knight who maimed him for company, he is certain he's being sent off to die.
Fortunately, the gods have other plans.

Shane didn't mean to send the text. He was so dizzy and cold and unsteady after leaving Ilya's room, he didn't even remember if he HAD sent the text. His fingers were too numb to undo his shirt buttons, he felt like the floor was dropping out from beneath him, he was nauseous and exhausted and didn't know why he couldn't stop shaking, why couldn't he stop shaking...?

The text came through as gibberish, and “Fuck.” Ilya threw his clothes back on and ran to get to Shane's hotel room. He'd been too far in his head to pay attention to Shane being quiet and shivering after they were done. Shane had stumbled getting out of bed, bumped into furniture, struggled with the door and Ilya had heard it but he'd been too much of a coward to get out of bed and check and now his submissive was sending gibberish texts and that wasn't good.
“Sorry sorry sorry.” Ilya muttered as he ran. “I’m coming. I’m coming, hold on.”

Summary
After a while his eyes got used to the darkness. He had been brought to a cell where other men like him were chained and gagged - in the same way he was. Someone had taken his clothes away. He felt that his throat was painfully dry as if he had swallowed sand and all he could taste was the cold metal between his teeth. He wanted to shout, to scream, to beg. But he could not. All he could do was falling to his knees and whimper while he was waiting for what would happen.
Several days had passed until he understood. It was when the first Omega suffered from his heat.

Since this work is finished, here is a brief outline -- You will find a lot of angst, sadness and abused Loki in the first 5 chapters. The chapters in Loki's pov are rather explicit descriptions of violence and abuse so consider the warnings. The following chapters are rather happy/ fluffy/ whatever you might call it. The Omega Verse/ mating/ knotting topic comes into view in the last chapters, around chapter 8, explicitely in chapter 10. Enjoy!
