A pause.
"I'm familiar."
I can still remember the blood staining my skin. The fear in her eyes. The way my ears rang after the bomb went off. His hands tarnishing my body. The buzzing of fluorescent lights. The caress of scalpels against unwilling skin. The drugs, and the aftermath.
The beeping of medical monitors.
The eyes that watched and the mouths that mocked.
The surgery.
All of a sudden I can hear the snapping of fingers and my eyes dart back to the man infront of me. "Kamada?"
I give him an apologetic smile that doesn't quite reach my eyes. "Zoned out."

“Of course it had to be a desert. Why do we always end up in a desert?!” Jay paces through the sand in a panic before gesturing wildly at the sky. Then he dramatically drops to his knees while putting his head in his hands. “WHY?!”
“Get a hold of yourself, Jay. Jeez.” Cole grumbles while dusting sand off of his gi. “It's not the end of the world."
Within seconds, as though the very sun has been extinguished, everything around them goes dark. Probably a cloud passing in front of the sun.
“Look what you did, COLE! YOU JINXED US!” Jay yells and gets up from his position on the ground to poke a finger in the earth ninja's chest. Cole slaps his hand away, simultaneously rolling his eyes while beginning to groan, “Oh for fuck's sake. We're not jinxed, Jay, it's probably just a clou-”
Then he looks up at the sky, and goes dead silent.
Zane follows his lead, and he too freezes in place, eyes widening in.. fear?
This prompts Kai to turn his eyes to the sky, and a chill runs down his spine.
That's…

While fighting against the Crystal King’s army, the ninja suddenly get teleported to a rather… familiar looking place. Although the realm they landed in looked strangely like the realm they came from, it still had major differences.
Maybe this was an alternate realm?
That would probably explain why there’s other ninja running around.

Usually, Garmadon would attack every 2-3 days. It was unusual that he would attack the next day after getting defeated. So why did the ninja hear the GarmAlarm after getting defeated yesterday? It was weird that it went off although there were no signs of the evil warlord.
It was even more weirder when other ninja started popping up.
