He didn’t even know why he tried anymore. It’s not like anyone was there to care about him relapsing, or even taking his own life. He tries to think of someone who would care. Dick maybe? But the more he thought about it the more he realized Dick was just too nice to shun him like the rest. Bruce wouldn’t care. He had a new Robin now a new son, a real son.

Ah, perfect. “Bingo,” Jason said to himself a bit deliriously. A room had a window cracked open, Who left that? It was dangerous… He groans, reaching for the grapple. His vision was starting to blur. Shit… Before Jason could stop it, the grapple was shooting, his eyes were closing. This would be a lame way to go out again… was his last thought before he was knocked out cold.
Or; Tim Drake is struggling a lot mentally, he doesn’t expect a crime lord to come crashing into his house, and life, literally.

Summary
They’d been dating for over a year and Bernard still hadn’t met Tim’s family. Bernard knew that Tim was an anxious, paranoid mess, and that he was just trying to keep things under control, but still. Not knowing Tim’s family made their whole thing feel less. . .permanent. Easier for Tim to end when he got scared. Easier for Tim to leave Bernard alone. Again.
But Bernard was determined to make this work, because this past year had been the best year of his life and that was in large part due to Tim. So he’d done what normal, healthy people did in relationships and communicated his concerns to his boyfriend.
And Tim had proven, once again, that he actually listened to Bernard.
Or, Bernard bonding with the Batkids while also dealing with his trauma from his parents and from the cult. And maybe finding a family along the way.
