Summary
Even underneath his fingertips, he can feel Lyra’s soft body heat up from the stimulation. There’s but a gentle nip against her skin, as though he purposefully wants to leave a mark ( and he does, because thancred is not a selfish man but he’s a little possessive, he’ll admit that ). Hearing her mewl underneath him, in want and need for him, certainly does something for his ego.
But this isn’t about him, he tells himself. This is about her. This will always be about her.
Once satisfied, he lifts his head to meet those silver eyes of hers. Like the moon hanging in the night sky - his night sky, he realizes.
She is the moon to his night. Beautiful, and slightly out of reach. And yet, she’s in reach, as he cradles her face with his strong hands.
“Lyra,” he breathes gently, in need for her as she was for him, “may I show you, just how much I desire you?"

Clive lifts his head up. “A rut? I’m not a dog, love.”
“I mean, you travel with a dog, you constantly have a permanent puppy-dog eyes look on you and you turn into a dog-lizard thing. You’re kind of dog-adjacent.” You shrug cheekily, with an equally cheeky smile on your face. “But I’m serious about the last thing. We don’t know a whole lot about Ifrit. Maybe it’s going through some kind of rut or something and it’s affecting you. It is springtime, you know. Maybe nature is just setting course for Ifrit, too.”
It’s a pretty plausible theory. Clive stops to think about it for a brief moment, his breath tickling your neck once more as you sigh. Still, he says nothing at first and pauses his movements, until he looks right back up at you, his gaze meeting yours.

The feelings she felt for Hana were long past the feelings of friendship. Long, forgotten feelings that were now resurfacing. It scared Zero, truly, but she pushed on.
Her other gloved hand tilts the dancer’s chin upwards. “I have learned to want without needing to for survival. And what I want is right in front of me.”
“Zero…” Hana starts, swallowing as a tinge of pink darkens her freckled cheeks.
“You offered me a bargain earlier,” continues the older woman, “and I will take your love as my payment.”
